It has been about a month since I decided to tackle the "Art of Blogging". I have my mini sessions on YouTube and Google to search for others who have decided to journey on to this path. I cannot help but think how many times did they feel like banging their head against the computer aka Warner Bros Cartoons. (Only those born into that era would know what I'm referencing to. Sorry no hard feelings younger generation.)
I am realizing now that I may have done the format all wrong. Yes, you heard me. I admit to being wrong. Sigh...Since I am a newbie I am doing my landing page here and now after so many different blogs have been created. Ah yes, I am a backwards kind of gal. You would think that I would have started with the first page and ease everyone into my other significant blogs. Oh well, better late than never.
If you are about to bring up my "research", allow me to stop you right there. Did you know how many items are indexed on the internet? A lot! I am probably one of many that has to fall in line with the rest of the "beginner blogger" category. I have always wanted to write my own book and this will give me practice.
You will see that I just went out on different subjects with no rhyme or reason to it. I have learned a valuable lesson right off these 4 weeks.
1. Start with your randomness and start giving it content. You can always make changes and edits later.
2. You don't need to publish right away. Save and go back and preview your drafts.
3. When writing, know who your audience is. Keep it to the general public.
4. Research your topic if you are not well versed in it.
5. Do not plagiarize. It's good to research but don't start to copy and paste to fill content. It sounds so much better if it comes from you and with your personality. Remember the writing nazi will not bother you, only your followers or readers.
There you have it. My personal take on starting out as a blogger. I may not have the sophistication and wit as those other bloggers do, but, I hope that you can learn and maybe get some humor out of this.
I'll blog something once or twice a day if you could comment and give me constructive feedback. Since I want to keep this at a decent rating, please be aware that younger people may be reading this. Thank you for taking the time to check out my blogs.
